Conference registration will roll forward for all previously registered attendees; please rebook hotel reservations by Oct. 24!
Atlanta, GA (October 13, 2016) – The Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) Fall Conference and CDBG Workshop has been rescheduled for November 1-2, 2016, at the Hyatt Regency Savannah, 2 West Bay Street, Savannah, Georgia 31401. The agenda will remain the same, with sessions and events originally scheduled for Thursday, October 6, now taking place on Tuesday, November 1. Events set for Friday, October 7, will take place on Wednesday, November 2, including the ceremony to present the “big check” awards to grant recipients. The updated agenda can be found on DCA’s CDBG website.
If you registered previously for the conference, your registration will roll forward and no action is needed. However, all hotel reservations were canceled and you will need to rebook your hotel room for the new dates. Both new and experienced recipients and administrators should attend due to important updates on program requirements.
As in years past, the CDBG workshop will deliver an overview of program management requirements on topics including Civil Rights, Fair Housing/Equal Opportunity, Procurement, Environmental Review, Labor Standards, Financial Management, and Administration. CDBG grant recipients are strongly urged to have representation at the workshop. Staff responsible for the day-to-day administration of the program should attend both days of the workshop. This year’s expanded conference will also feature a panel discussion by representatives from the department’s planning, housing and finance, and community and economic development divisions.
The Hyatt Regency Savannah special group rate is $150, with an additional $5.00 per night for hotel/motel occupancy fee.
